This is Uncompiled
My first post on this website
I’ve been meaning to write for a long time.
There’s a friend who’s been gently (and persistently) nudging me to do it — to stop overthinking, start small, and just put thoughts into words. I always nodded along, agreed in principle… and then let life get in the way.
Business school, work, other shiny distractions — the usual suspects. Writing always felt like something I should do, something I wanted to do, but never something I gave time to.
Lately, though, I’ve been reading a lot. Mostly in AI, sometimes tech more broadly. And it’s exciting — the field moves fast, but even more interesting are the ideas under the surface. The patterns, the shifts, the tensions. The stuff you don’t always see in headlines, but feel when you're paying attention.
What I’ve realized is: I end up carrying around a lot of unformed thoughts. Half-ideas. Instincts. Hunches that haven’t found structure yet. Some of them, I think, might actually be kind of profound — if I give them space. Not polish, not a perfect argument, just... a space.
That’s what Uncompiled is.
A place for those ideas before they’re ready. Before they’ve been optimized or cleaned up. The name is literal — these posts aren’t fully “built,” and maybe they won’t ever be. But writing them down lets me learn in public. It lets others connect threads I didn’t see. And it leaves behind a trail of what I was thinking, when.
Maybe someday I’ll come back and compile it all. Or maybe not.
For now, this is just a scratchpad with a publish button. If you’re reading this: thanks for being here.
More soon — probably.
